Clay “oysters” molded from actual oysters, painted with watercolor, gold wrappers from chocolate lining them akin to gold paint, sealed with dishwasher safe adhesive. Each one is a reminder of the actual oysters that were used, now returned to the Billion Oyster Project, to restore the area’s oyster reefs. They will be displayed within the installation. They can be used as functional art objects for serving salt, holding jewelry, etc. Image on the right is from a workshop I led, made by artists in residence.
