Girl Reading by the Paper Bush Tree

$2,200.00

“Girl Reading by the Paper Bush” is inspired by the first fragrant blossom of Paper Bush in early Spring at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. Each of us consumes more than 700 pounds of paper in any given year in the US, and a third of it lands into the landfills.  Paper comes from many sources, and paper bush is one of them, favored by the Japanese to make bank notes.  If we recycle paper in our daily routines, we can save 70% less resources (water and energy) than having new paper made from scratch.  Recycling and repurposing paper can lower greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to climate change for the better.
