SILVERS honors this matriarchal legacy by centering the voices of women over fifty who are leading environmental justice movements, stewarding land, and redefining sustainability through lived experience.

Rooted in ecofeminist principles and Indigenous wisdom, our collective draws from the intergenerational knowledge of grandmothers. Elders who remember when the land was healthy, who hold the stories of survival, and who refuse to let extractive systems erase their legacy inspire and guide our work. These women embody the radical care, patience, and foresight our planet demands. Through art, dialogue, and ancestral practice, SILVERS asks: What if the future of climate justice isn’t just technological, but matriarchal? This exhibition is a love letter to the grandmothers who taught us to listen—and a call to action for those ready to act.
